Your movement, your practice, your corner.
Every body is different.
Every practice is personal.
At The Corner, I provide highly personalized, science-informed Pilates instruction rooted in the method's traditional principles, as well as a deep respect for the individuality of each and every body.
With over 20 years of experience as a Pilates practitioner and professional dancer, a BFA in Dance Performance, comprehensive Pilates certification, and my own journey through four knee surgeries, I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my teaching.
I believe movement should be accessible, intelligent, and adaptable.
Whether working with professional athletes, dancers, individuals with diverse physical abilities, those navigating pregnancy or preparing for or returning to movement after surgery, or someone simply looking to feel stronger and more connected to their body, I approach each person with curiosity, care, and intention.
My goal is never perfection, but progress: helping each individual develop greater body awareness, strength, mobility, confidence, and a deeper understanding of their own capabilities.

20+ Years in Dance & Pilates Practice
Movement has been at the center of my life for over 20 years as a professional dancer and Pilates practitioner. I began my training at Miami’s New World School of the Arts under second-generation Pilates master Elaine Wright, later earning a BFA in Dance Performance from the University of South Florida and comprehensive Pilates certification through Balanced Body.
Having navigated four knee surgeries myself, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my teaching. My experience spans professional athletes and dancers to individuals navigating pregnancy, injury, surgery, and the physical demands of everyday life.
At THE CORNER, I work exclusively one-on-one, combining the artistry of movement, anatomical knowledge, and classical Pilates principles to create a practice tailored to each individual. My goal is to help you build strength, mobility, awareness, and confidence while developing a lasting relationship with your body.
My philosophy is simple: Pilates is a practice, not a performance. There is no expectation of perfection, only the opportunity to explore, grow, and discover what your body is capable of.

THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME & THE HOUSE
I've always believed that art is more than something we create or observe.
It brings us together, challenges our thinking, and connects us through shared experiences.
Raised in Miami, I spent much of my life immersed in the city's creative renaissance as a dancer, choreographer, director, and writer. Through founding Alma Dance Theater, directing ScreenDance Miami, and collaborating with artists across disciplines, I discovered that some of the most meaningful creative experiences happen outside traditional institutions.
During that time, a neighborhood bar called The Corner became a gathering place for Miami's artists, filmmakers, writers, musicians, painters, and thinkers. It was a place where conversations sparked ideas, collaborations began, and community flourished. That spirit stayed with me.
Now, in Tremont, Cleveland, I've found a space with a remarkably similar history.
For over 40 years, Christina and her late husband, both artists, called Tremont home, contributing to the neighborhood's creative spirit. The very room that now houses my private Pilates studio was once Christina's photography studio - a place that also welcomed art exhibitions, community gatherings, and creative exchange.
There is something meaningful about continuing that history rather than starting something entirely new. The building has already been a home for art, conversation, and community. I feel fortunate to become part of its next chapter.
Beyond my private Pilates practice, I envision THE CORNER as an intimate, inclusive arts incubator… an ode to my Miami roots, the artistic legacy of this house, and the creative community of Tremont. A space for exhibitions, book readings, private screenings, artist talks, thoughtful conversations, and unexpected connections.
My intention isn't to redefine Tremont's creative culture, but to become part of it, contribute to it, and help carry forward the spirit of a place that has been bringing people together for decades.
